I am unable to adequately thank everyone for the calls, emails, texts, letters, thoughts and prayer, but it has truly helped.

When my heart can handle it, I’ll post some stories about Robbie. I’m smiling thinking about the stuff he pulled. Robbie was indescribable.

I took this picture of my brothers when we were backpacking. For those that don't know, Rob's the not fat one (sorry Shaun, I know you're skinny now). Rob and I climbed one of the highest peaks in Utah the next morning. Josh and Shaun had breakfast.

Dad and I have taken the boat to the Snake River, a couple reservoirs, and Wyoming. It was kind of muddy on the road.

It would have been smarter to test the boat locally, but we drove almost 300 miles for the first boat trip. Josh caught the first fish out of the boat. This 7 foot sturgeon.

I finally found my dream boat. The problem was that it had been sunk and totaled.

I worked on it basically around the clock for three weeks.

After a mere 150 hours or so, here's what it looks like. Since this picture I've fiberglassed the boxes. I'll paint the inside over the winter.

We decided to let Chris drive coming home from our fly fishing trip in Wyoming. Mistake. He rolled and totaled Tony's truck on I-80. I was in the back with Shaun. Chris and Tony were in front. Everyone keeps telling us how lucky we are nobody died. Yeah, but what about my gorgeous head? D-bags.

In the ambulance they cut the arms off my favorite fleece and fishing shirt. I wasn't too happy about that.
Chris also hit an elk doing about 45 mph last week at the Grand Canyon. We thought of a clever new name for Chris. It's A-hole.

President Bush named "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" as one of his favorite books. I'm paraphrasing, but he said that it helped shape him. Here's a description of the book from Wikipedia:

"The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a children's book written by Eric Carle, originally published in 1969. It is highly popular and has been praised for its use of easy-to-read words which makes it good for teaching young children to read. The book contains 225 words and large, colorful illustrations. Dad and I met Josh and his boys for some sturgeon fishing.

Isaac and I did quite a bit of fishing together. He reminds me a lot of Josh and myself when we were kids.

I'm fighting the first sturgeon I catch. It was about 7 feet and over 200lbs.

Here's the second sturgeon I caught. It pushed 8 feet and 300lbs. It's impossible to describe how big and strong these fish are. This one pulled our boat a few hundred yards from our anchor which we released to catch the fish. That's a full sized crappie in it's mouth that we used for bait.

I felt something crawling around my helmet when I was riding my bike. Then a hornet came across the inside of my visor. I lifted my visor to blow it out, but it just blew back by my ear. I pulled over, got my helmet off, and somehow didn't get stung. What really pissed me off is that I wasted the "F" word on an insect. I need to save those for golf and Kobe Bryant.

I put my shed on the end of "Barnett Lane". It's actually much bigger than I expected.

You can see the pile of material left over from Michelle's shed. I built the base of the shed in my driveway and then we moved it into place. I'm sure the neighbors loved the pile of garbage.

I wish I had a better picture of the shed. I haven't finished putting the sided on, but it turned out awesome. Four motorcycles fit inside, and I built a loft inside. It has stairs going up to it, and it's carpeted all over. Calvin calls it the "igloo" because it's blue, even though it's warm inside.

Tearing down a shed

One of my co-workers told me I could tear down their shed. I got the bright idea of using the material to building a shed for my motorcycles and other stuff.

Snake River

I camped below Palisades Dam. I love the Snake River!
It was pretty high, and the fishing wasn't very good.

Brent, Brad and I floated past these waterfalls a couple years ago in our little pontoon boats. This was the trip Brad didn't bring a sleeping bag, pants, jacket, or underwear. He also made me stop the car so he could chase cows. Brad had Brent and me laughing the entire trip. The girl we were with wasn't as amused. Perfect.

This sign should read "The only hot cocoa in town". And who says "cocoa"? Wait I bet that's what LB's mom calls it when she makes it for him in the winter.

24th of July

Nikki, Ian and their girls came up for the 24th. We had a fire and roasted hotdogs and marshmallows in the backyard.
The next day Ian and I golfed in the morning and then the kids got to go out on the boat. Here are 2 of my 3 sisters. Brittney was in Vegas, but she wouldn't have gone on the boat anyway. At least without a panic attack and blowup arm floats. Embarrassing.

These are pictures I took while fishing in my float tube somewhere in Idaho. The fishing was really good. It was nice to get away from the 100 degree weather too.

It's really pretty there, and I saw an amazing sunset. Just before dark I could see something below me in the water. I looked closer and could see a submerged tree just below my feet. I don't know why that creeps me out so much, but I almost rode a stool-torpedo back to shore.

Halle's Birthday

Basketball League

Friends Golf Tourney

Today was another "Friends Golf Tournament". We still used the word "friends" even though Jeremy plays.

For those that don't know. Jeremy is the one in the ladies polo, and Tadd is the one looking at Jeremy's butt while smiling. Congratulations! You two make a great couple/partnership.

July 4th Celebration

Nothing is more patriotic than shooting stuff on the 4th. I bought this gun for my solo backpacking trip across the Uintas. Our target today looked an awful lot like a modern art display.I'm embarrassed for Rob. I mean really! Who stands in this pose to shoot? The "don't ask, don't tell" policy must be a relief for Rob.
Yes, we shot a ski. I need to practice shooting over my shoulder while running, for when I do run into a bear. I'm starting to think that it's only going to make it mad.

July 4th Breakfast

We had our traditional 4th of July breakfast this morning at my house. Josh wore his customary American flag shirt.Mom and Mia with her glasses.
Calvin and Halle played the Elmo game on my laptop.
The nieces liked the swing I put up under my deck.

Horse Riding

I did some horseback riding this week. I haven't been on a horse in awhile, but it was really fun.
This horse looks really mean, but it was actually really nice.
It worries me that I like dressing up like a hick a little too much.
Yeah, I'm sore.

So here are the pictures you've been waiting for Collin and Greg. I wore these ridiculous shorts to do yard work for an entire day.I decided the outfit wasn't quite gay enough so I went with the hat. I probably could have used some boots too.

Working in the yard and bending over was really uncomfortable. My brothers also saw the Bishop and told him to come over. When he saw how I was dressed he just started laughing. That hurt.
This is going to be July in the "Just for Men" calendar next year.
